Jubilee collection - to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Beslag Design

They say that time flies. That fits well for the Swedish furniture hardware company Beslag Design.

Stig Bergström started Beslag Design 1972. At that time, the primary product was a wooden knob and a coat hanger. Today the assortment contains more than 2000 different products in a wide range of categories. Still, the first wooden knob, Rillan, is continuously in the portfolio and selling. The company is still, 50 years later, in the Bergström family. Now with the third generation, the Bergström family is carrying on the tradition and is one of Sweden's leading companies in the furniture accessories market.

To honour the work and accomplishments over the last 50 years, Beslag Design released an anniversary collection Jubilee. It is designed by Swedish designer Monika Förster and includes one knob and one handle in two sizes. Jubilee knob and handles are available in untreated brass and matte black.

Monica describes the Jubilee collection noting: A tribute where past and future are woven together in an industrial feeling.

Both the knobs and the handles have a base of solid brass. The version in matte black has a final lacquered coating, while the brass version is left untreated. That makes the brass versions age and get a worn patina over time.

Monika Förster is a well-known designer based in Stockholm, Sweden. The furniture and accessories designed by her stick out with their innovative design and shapes. In collaboration with Beslag Design, a new Jubilee collection with handles and knob is out on the market and expected to last for generations.
